Melvin McDonald Announces Aid to At Risk Kids Through Basketball

Melvin McDonald is president and a coach for American All-star Basketball, a free basketball club for kids from grades six to twelve.

    MURRIETA, CA, February 08, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Melvin McDonald of French Valley is a highly decorated war veteran. He served in the American Armed Forces for over ten years. He was a United States Marine from 1988 until 1992 and also served in the Military Police during the First Gulf War. Melvin McDonald of French Valley has received the Kuwaiti Liberation Medal and the Combat Action Ribbon for his service. Melvin McDonald of French Valley was wounded during his service, and as a result was disabled. Despite his disability, McDonald is still proud to have served his country. McDonald learned a lot of important skills and lessons his service including the importance of dedication and teamwork. Because of his disability, he also learned that no one should let any life circumstances hold them back from becoming the person they should be. It is for this reason Melvin McDonald of French Valley has dedicated his civilian life to helping kids in need.

Melvin McDonald is the president and a coach for American All-Start Basketball, a completely free traveling basketball club for at risk kids. American All-Star Basketball offers a safe, secure and encouraging environment for kids in grades six through twelve. American All-Star Basketball is the only travel basketball club that does not charge monthly fees, and all its tournaments are free.

Melvin McDonald has announced American All-Star Basket as a basketball club dedicated to helping at risk kids find the skills and characteristics to uplift themselves.

Melvin McDonald of French Valley is both AAU and NCAA coaching certified, as are all coaches at American All-Star Basketball. Melvin McDonald of French Valley is well trained and a dedicated coach. He receives a great deal of fulfillment helping these at risk kids thrive through learning the value of teamwork.

American All-Star Basketball is dedicated to teaching hard work and teamwork to all its players, and its staff and volunteers take great pride in their work. All of the coaches at American All-Star Basketball are dedicated and passionate about teaching kids essential skills and giving every kid a chance to show them off on the court. All kids are accepted into American All-Star Basketball regardless of their race, gender, or ability. Teams from American All-Star Basketball are featured at various tournaments, NCAA events, and AAU events, giving a great boost to their confidence. Playing these tournaments teaches these kids a great dedication and commitment to both themselves and their teammates.

While these skills are essential on the court, they also help kids in their personal lives, as well. As the kids learn confidence, commitment, dedication and passion, they can take it with them back out into the world.

Melvin McDonald of French Valley gives back to the community, and to kids, in many ways. As part-owner of Future Starz Magazine, a major youth sports publication, Melvin McDonald helps to promote the importance of youth sports and provide standout athletes the chance to be nationally profiled for their accomplishments.
