In her role as director of operations at THS, Monica Coralluzzo demonstrates her talents as a knowledgeable hospitality professional. Drawing on more than seven years of experience in the field, she has held leadership positions at a number of well-known companies. Ms. Coralluzzo began her hotel career at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, NJ. She began as a concierge and eventually moved on to work in Premium Services working with all of the Borgata's VIP customers. Upon completion of the hotel's Upward Mobility Program, Monica was promoted to a supervisor role. With hotel experience in hand she left the Borgata to work as a rotational trainee in different departments of Global Planners Inc., a full service corporate event planning company, before becoming a sales manager at Hilton Parsippany. After a few months, she was promoted to corporate sales manager and was tasked with accommodating large convention, tour and travel groups, and in 2010, Ms. Coralluzzo worked with Hampton Inn as a group sales manager. Just prior to joining THS, she served Hilton & Hampton Inn Parsippany as a local business travel sales manager, where she was responsible for handling new and existing accounts.
Attributing her success to her passion for the hospitality industry, as well as her hard work and motivation, Ms. Coralluzzo has amassed extensive expertise in group sales, customer service and support and interpersonal communications. Currently responsible for overseeing two major departments charged with arranging in house reservations, she acts as a liaison between hotels, tournament directors and travelers to assist in coordinating functions between various vendors. Ms. Coralluzzo also plans strategic operations and trains client services personnel in account management as well as how to excel in coordinating activities that take place in specific travel cities.
Ms. Coralluzzo holds a bachelor's degree in business and hospitality management from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. She is a member of Alpha Gamma Delta, a former member of the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey student senate and a former admissions ambassador for the school. In the future, Ms. Coralluzzo would like to hone her existing skills, expand her talents beyond the hospitality industry and pursue a master's degree.
