/Worldwide Who's Who/ -- Monica E. Swintz, Founder, Chairman & CEO of Bridge of Hope Ministries International, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nonprofit ministry.
Bridge of Hope Ministries International has been an established non-profit ministry in British Columbia, Canada for the past 15 years. BOHMI has outreaches in the USA, Philippines, Kenya, Uganda, India and Pakistan and hopes to have outreaches all over the world. In 2007 (after spending over 30 years as a foster parent with over 60 kids going through her home) Monica felt led to expand the ministry from filling and shipping containers and raising finances for the Philippine ministry to also helping the local homeless with clothes and blankets to move into a new area and develop something that she saw was much needed. In the last 6 months, Bridge of Hope Ministries International now has a presence in 5 new countries. In November 2012, the ministry launched the magazine ESPERANZA FOR TODAY, A Publication By Bridge Of Hope Ministries International. The 2nd edition will come out in March 2013.
Monica E. Swintz utilizes her people, organizational and multi-tasking skills to oversee the ministry's organizational operations and development. Known for her ability to see the big picture as well as paying attention to detail, she takes great pleasure in being a visionary and providing life-changing experiences to adults, youth and children through the ministry's programs and outreaches. Most of all, she operates with integrity.
She also served as Editor of a monthly Christian magazine.
Ms. Swintz considers herself a work-in-progress and is planning on developing a movie or documentary. With a strong personal relationship with the Lord and commitment to seeing things through and done well, she is positive and upbeat, has a compassionate heart, and is fervent about doing what is right. Even though as a child and in her younger years she experienced much adversity, the most important thing she would say to others is to never give up, take responsibility for your own actions and live your life so that others will see by your actions more than your words how to live a successful life of victory.
She attributes her success to her strong faith, belief in what she does, and desire to help other people. She became involved with missionary work after volunteering with the Salvation Army and deciding to take a mission trip to Suriname, South America. After helping other ministries ship much needed items, she decided to register and incorporate her own ministry; thus Bridge of Hope Ministries International was born. The highlight of her career was obtaining millions of dollars worth of high-end medical hospital equipment that was delivered to Columbia, South America, touching the lives of children who are in poverty and broken homes with the love of Jesus and relief aide.
