Montessorium Revamps Intro to Letters App

Each of Montessorium's six educational apps uses voiceover to guide children through its activities. Now for the first time, adults can record, save, and use their own voiceover throughout the app. The impact of parental involvement in a child's education is significant and has been the subject of much research. Intro to Letters provides default voiceover in English (US & UK), French, German, and Spanish. Instructional text for the Recording Studio has now been translated into over 40 languages, including several seldom seen in the App Store, such as Hebrew, Urdu, and Tamil. Parents whose language is not provided as a default voiceover option can now record their own, making the app useful to millions more families.

This release is the first major update to the app since its launch in 2010. Based on the proven methodology of Montessori, Intro to Letters helps children learn to trace, read, write, and record letter sounds, letter names, and phonograms.

Additional updates to Intro to Letters include a new Practice Mode, a cleaner look, improved tracing paths, and several integrated tools that will soon be available in all Montessorium apps:
- Kids Library: allows children to swipe the home screen to reveal icons of all Montessorium apps installed on their device. This allows users to seamlessly switch between different apps without leaving the Montessorium environment.
- Journal: a dedicated space for parents and teachers to read original content on education, design, and technology.
- Observations: a convenient note-taking section for adults to record children's progress and other observations.
