MOUNTAINSIDE, NJ, January 15, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In his new book, New Jersey Car Insurance Buyer's Guide, Francis M. Smith, Esq., a NJ personal injury attorney, educates drivers on the advantages of a Standard Policy, the risks of Basic Policies, personal injury protection, or PIP Primary vs. Health Care Primary, as well as information on coverage limit levels.

With nearly 6 million NJ licensed drivers traveling over 73 billion miles a year on NJ's 39,000 public roads , driving in NJ is risky business. Governor Christie aide Bridget Anne Kelly's now infamous email that read "Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee" which resulted in a four-day lane closures at the George Washington Bridge in September demonstrates how frustrating - and precarious it can be for drivers in NJ.

Auto insurance coverage is compulsory for NJ drivers, but drivers on NJ highways from other states may not be required to carry insurance. And those who purchase bare-bones automobile insurance policies typically sold online or by insurance agents, may expose other drivers to medical and financial loss if they suffer serious bodily injury in a motor vehicle accident.

"In my thirty years of experience I have found most people don't have the right car insurance," laments Mr. Smith. "They either lack the right kind of insurance or an inappropriate amount to protect themselves and their family. Insurance companies generally do not provide consumers enough information, possibly to minimize their own risk at the expense of their customers," he warns.

The book is available to NJ residents for free at http://www.njcarinsuranceguide.com. It is available in paperback as well as a Kindle or iBook eBook.

The book contains straightforward advice and an easy to read checklist for choosing an auto insurance policy to afford protection and benefits for the policyholder and family in the event of an auto accident. Complicated insurance terms are simplified and explained in this easy to read, no-nonsense guide. Mr. Smith notes, "I don't sell car insurance but I see the devastation that families have suffered because they did not buy the right amount of car insurance." The author provides the book to NJ residents for free to fill an educational void left by insurance sales agents who either do not know or are reluctant to discuss how 17 cents a day can dramatically reduce risk of insufficient coverage for their customers.
