Milsap, who is blind, has a versatile style of music that has endeared him to a generation of fans. Milsap grew up in the mountains of North Carolina where he was influenced by music genres such as gospel, rhythm and blues and classical. His music career took-off when he moved to Nashville 40 years ago. To date, he has sold more than 35 million albums. Some of his major hit songs include Please Don't Tell Me How the Story Ends, (I'm A) Stand By My Woman Man, (There's) No Gettin Over Me, Smokey Mountain Rain, and Lost in the Fifties Tonight.
