/24-7PressRelease/ -- The North Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (NCPRSA) has installed its Board of Directors for 2010. Newly elected officers include:
- Chuck Norman, APR, of S&A Cherokee, president
- Sarah Lamm of the UNC General Alumni Association, president elect and seminar chair
- Gena Renfrow of Reach Communications, vice president and membership chair
- Meredith Blalock of RBC Bank, secretary
- Reuel Heyden, independent communications consultant, treasurer
- McGavock Edwards, APR, of IMRE, immediate past president
NCPRSA Directors for 2010 include:
- Tracy Lathan, APR, of IMRE, accreditation chair
- Eva Hornak, independent consultant, awards co-chair
- Glenn Gillen of S&A Cherokee, publicity chair
- Steffi Kinton of the UNC General Alumni Association, Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chair
- Meghan Woodlief of Capstrat, programs co-chair
- Kelly Lloyd of Gibbs & Soell, Web site/database/Job Bank chair
- Katherine Smart, independent consultant, assembly delegate
NCPRSA manages a full slate of activities, including professional development meetings, networking get-togethers, and an annual public relations and marketing seminar that attracts participants from all over the state. In 2009, NCPRSA introduced the InSpire Awards to recognize excellence in public relations and communications.
"I believe we have an excellent mix of experienced veterans and young professionals on our NCPRSA board this year," said Norman. "I look forward to working with them to promote the public relations profession in Eastern North Carolina."
