March 12, 2013 /EIN Presswire/ -- This month, the premier charter fleet on the San Francisco Bay unveils innovative technology upgrades and refurbished interiors to its flagship vessel, the California Spirit. Marti McMahon-Diamond, woman owner of Yacht Connections International (YCI), never stops improving her fleet of private yachts. This time, it is in preparation of the oldest sports trophy in history: The America's Cup.

San Francisco Bay will host the 2013 Louis Vuitton Cup, America's Cup Challenger Series and America's Cup Finals. The season opened in August and October of 2012, during which the California Spirit and Yacht Lady hosted major sponsors and partners of the races on board. With 55 days of racing scheduled for 2013, YCI is prepared to offer the most luxurious yachts available for private charter.

Interior renovations have been ongoing since 2012 and are scheduled for completion late next month. Highlights include installment of an Intellian Satellite System with up to 200 channels on three flat screen televisions.

The monitors are strategically placed throughout each salon for premium viewing with live-streaming, newscaster and broadcasting capabilities. This allows for a dual viewing experience on board; live racing commentary from the comfort of plush interior salons and first-class viewing along three exterior decks. In classic San Francisco style, the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and city skyline serve as a backdrop to the America's Cup races.

Upon boarding, passengers are greeted by a polished entry of absolute black granite, leading to exciting new carpet throughout each salon. Ebony Art Deco tables in the Main Salon provide a sleek finish, allowing the option for upgraded linen or none at all. The addition of interior and exterior LED lighting now allows for greater range of lighting capabilities than ever before. Decorator wallpaper has been installed and all teak is freshly varnished, making the brightwork glow. Artwork has been replaced throughout the yacht for a more contemporary look, displaying a unique color contrast to the variety of textures. The attention to detail speaks for itself.

"We take pride in the fact that our vessels are unlike any others on the Bay. Our clients know we offer a completely customized experience, and we are thrilled to keep current with the trends and take our yachts to the next level," states McMahon-Diamond. Marti and her crew will debut the new look to the public during its premier Open House, scheduled for late March; RSVP is necessary for admittance. For guests within city limits, complimentary luxury transportation will be provided by iCars, the new On Demand car service of Bauer's Intelligent Transportation.

Both vessels will be docked at their home berth along the Embarcadero at Pier 40, South Beach Harbor. YCI's culinary crew including General Manager, Keith McMahon will be on board preparing tasting selections of freshly prepared cuisine. California wine and Artisan cheese pairings will be featured along with premium liquor sponsors. Guests will find the Yacht Lady and California Spirit just one block from the World Series winning Giants Ballpark, walking distance from Muni and Cal Train stations.
