Players who do not qualify from a land-based
tournament at a participating casino automatically receive a second chance to make it to the finals in an online qualifier; equally, those who buy into an online 100,000 Second Chance Monday night tournament and do not win will receive a second chance in a future online competition.
The prize pool for this will be a guaranteed 100,000 and the finals will take place at the famous
Circus Casino at Star City, Birmingham from 30 October to 2 November, 2008.
The
Texas Hold'em (no limit) tournament launches online with registration open from 20:00 (BST) on Monday, 28 July with the tournament qualifier commencing at 20:00 (BST) on Monday, 4 August - the second chance format will run every Monday at 20.00 (BST).
The first land-based qualifier kicks off on Sunday 27 July and players who do not qualify will get a free, second chance token worth 27.50 that can be used in a future online qualifier.
