Holiday Shopping and Kissing for Charity Festival, an event organized by "Beautiful New York." The two-day event is Wednesday, Nov. 18 and Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009 from noon to 8 p.m at 48 Greenwich Avenue, between 6th and 7th Avenue, New York, NY.
"This event is an ideal opportunity for JUARA to give back to the community, and we're excited to share our natural skin care offerings,

natural soaps, body scrubs and facial cleansers with the shoppers," JUARA Founder Metta Murdaya said. "This beauty event will allow JUARA to highlight our goal of bringing back the traditions of the past by creating products that fuse the active botanicals of Indonesian herbal recipes with Western science to create products that represent the best of both the east and the west."
The two-day beauty event will encourage participants to embrass beauty and skin care products, while giving back to the community. To honor this concept, a kissing festival will invite shoppers to apply lipstick, kiss their
Kiss Canvas, and write whom the kiss is for. The kiss and a donation of at least $1 will go to the PeaceKeeper Fund, which supports women and children living in urgent human rights situations. The kiss will also appear in the Kiss Museum online.
Other benefits of attending the beauty event include 20% off, or more, on most products, with 5% of the purchase price going to PeaceKeeper's Fund. The first 50 shoppers to spend $35 or more will receive a goodie bag of samples and gift certificates. Finally, if participants buy an item from all of the brands, they will receive a free silk/cotton scarf valued at $30.
Along with the shopping opportunities, "Beautiful New York's" Holiday Shopping and Kissing for Charity Festival will feature soft hand massages, mini facials, color cosmetic makeovers and aromatherapy advice. Other entrepreneurs in "Beautiful New York" include Peacekeeper Causemetics, Alison Raffaele, Essence of Vali and Jao.
