ARMIDALE, AUSTRALIA January 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- People see businesses come and go in this age of fast paced change. How often have we seen companies start with a bang and fizzle out quickly? The success of a long standing business depends on its ability to move with the times while keeping customers happy. From its early beginnings in 1926, Teleflora New Zealand (http://www.teleflora.co.nz) has done just this. Teleflora New Zealand is a florist relay service established to help facilitate the exchange and fulfilment of flower orders by local florists. There are florist networks all across the world aimed to help customers send flowers to their loved ones.

"In today's world, international services as well as domestic services are expected by customers" said Pamela du Rhone, in "The Teleflora Story; celebrating 75 years" http://www.teleflora.co.nz/TNZ_75_years.pdf. Customers want quality, assurance, reliability and value. Teleflora New Zealand provides that. In 1971 Teleflora New Zealand became one of the first members of Teleflor International. Teleflor International is an international network of florist relay services. Members share their networks and contacts to ensure flowers can be delivered across the globe. Today, Teleflora New Zealand is connected with over 50 000 florists in 84 countries. With this 83 year long history, two books have been written about the Teleflora New Zealand story (http://www.teleflora.co.nz/about-teleflora.htm).

Teleflora New Zealand has a proud history in providing customers with excellent service. It was the first florist relay service in New Zealand. At 84 years old it's one of the oldest in the world. Today, they have around 120 member florists in New Zealand.

At the beginning of 2009, Teleflora New Zealand merged with Petals Network. "This saw the creation of a single management group with two great brand names" said Scott Williams, CEO of Petals Network and Teleflora New Zealand. "The white dove on a blue background has become a recognisable symbol for the quality service Teleflora New Zealand provides" he went on to say. Teleflora New Zealand maintains this through strict quality control of its florists. "Most of our Teleflora New Zealand florists are members of New Zealand Professional Florists Inc" Scott added.

As the world changes, and so does Teleflora New Zealand, can the florist relay service continue to survive? Pamela du Rhone said "There is no question that flowers will remain a much loved-food for the soul and will always be sought after as a special way of conveying sentiment". So the answer seems to be a resounding yes!
