CHARLESTON, SC, December 18, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- OscarAir, Inc. is announcing the availability of a new line of innovative, custom-designed basement dehumidifiers developed especially for harsh basement environments. The owners of OscarAir, Inc. spent several years selling different models of basement dehumidifiers. The one thing they all had in common was that none of the units provided everything that their application engineers wanted in a single basement dehumidifier.

Custom-Engineering Equals Powerful Performance

The staff at OscarAir, Inc. has now incorporated all of the missing ingredients of previous models to develop their own custom-engineered basement dehumidifiers. These robust dehumidifiers are manufactured in Italy to provide superior workmanship and performance.

Features incorporated into the Dri-Basement line include:
• Powerful 320 CFM Airflow
• Can effectively remove humidity from an area up to 3,000 square feet
• Can remove up to 105 pints of water from the air per day
• Energy Star compliant - uses only 550 watts of power

Many basements suffer from high humidity which can lead to mildew smells, mold growth, condensation on pipes and windows and wood rot. Appliance grade dehumidifiers just don't provide enough air movement to effectively reduce humidity in tough basement environments.

Removing moisture from the air requires the air to pass over the coils of the dehumidifier. Many appliance grade dehumidifiers have fans that provide only 160-200 CFM (cubic feet per minute). Units with less than 300 CFM cannot reduce the humidity to desired levels in a large basement.

These dehumidifiers offer both high quality performance and exceptional value. The OscarAir, Inc. line of Dri-Basement dehumidifiers is 20% cheaper and 30% more powerful than comparable models.

Additional features of Dri-Basement dehumidifiers include:
• Built-in humidistat
• Built-in condensate pump
• 20-foot drain hose
• Unit is on castors for easy mobility

Discover how dehumidifiers developed especially for basements can remove humidity and the problems associated with it.
