    GOWER, MO, September 7, 2009 /Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Patricia N. Farris, Teacher (Retired), has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

Now retired, Ms. Farris worked as a teacher for 39 years, teaching first through eighth-grade students. She was inspired to enter the field by her mother, who was a teacher, and her uncle, who was a principal. She attributes her success to her hard work and remaining up-to-date with current affairs.

Ms. Farris obtained her Master's Degree from Northwest Missouri State University in 1987. She received her
Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Missouri in 1959, and an Associate of Arts from Christian College in 1953. She is a member of Missouri Retired Teachers and was a recipient of the MSTA Teachers Leadership Award in 1995 from the Missouri State Teachers Association. In the coming years, she intends to consult and aid in local schools.
