Import Hi-Def Video (AVCHD/HDV)

Add in support for high quality 5.1 Dolby Digital surround sound or linear PCM audio (up to 192kHz/20bit) and the result is an excellent audio/video presentation.
Fast Proxy Editing
Due to greater video information in HD files, editing is time consuming. HD video files - such as those imported from HDV and AVCHD camcorders -slow down computers trying to process large amounts of information. TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4 creates a smaller, easier to manage proxy file, from which editing can be done as with any other video clip. When the video is output, the edits made in the proxy file are transferred to the larger original video file.
Dolby Digital 5.1 Channel Support
