DELMONT, PA, November 14, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cindy McKay's love for the American flag runs deep.

Not only was McKay's late father, Regis A. Peltier Sr., a World War II veteran, but McKay has also paid tribute to the memories of Sept. 11 victims. The doors of a barn built in 1895 have proudly displayed the stars and stripes since 2001. McKay and several friends and family painted a 32-foot wide by 14-foot tall flag on the doors.

This summer, McKay had another idea to help display her patriotism and love for the American flag. In June, McKay asked Penneco to paint the oil well on her Plum Bureau farm white and blue.

"My dad loved the flag and everything it stands for," McKay said. "I figured Penneco wouldn't have a problem with me painting the well. They've been great to work with for more than 10 years."

Once Penneco heard of McKay's plan, they were happy to lend their support.

"I even said I'd paint them myself," McKay said. "But they painted the equipment, and then insisted on getting the paint I needed for the stars and stripes."

So after McKay added the stars and stripes, the well on her property resembled the U.S. flag. The larger tank is adorned with red and white stripes and the smaller tank features 13 white stars, representing the 13 original colonies. On the side of the small separator that faces the Center New Texas Road, a main route through Plum Bureau, she painted "Penneco Oil Company 2009" in white letters. On the opposite side she painted, "Hillside Farm Circa 1830."
