Nestled on Monroe St., a historical area in what is often referred to as the "most livable" city in America, was the treasure known as Borokhim's Oriental Rugs.

Albert was happy to take me around his Oriental rug store and provided me a great lesson on what makes persian handmade rugs among the most valuable woven rugs. He also explained how oriental rugs are made, the difference between Iranian rugs and Afghanistan rugs, as well as the history of many rug weavers.
