PALO ALTO, CA, February 22, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Extrasensory Devices is pleased to announce a Kickstarter campaign for its new iPhone incident light meter. Aimed at both professional and amateur photographers, Luxi will reduce a user's camera bag weight and clutter while producing professional quality lighting measurements for use with their DSLR or other exposure adjustable camera. Currently, there is no other hardware light meter for iPhone available on the market.

While many software developers have created software-based light meters, designers at Extrasensory Devices know that a hardware component could revolutionize the iPhone as an incident light meter. Coupled with an available iOS light meter application, Luxi has been shown to produce the same measurements of light meters that cost ten times more. Luxi works with an array of iOS applications already, and the team is working with more developers to bring its unique functionality to an even larger number of applications.

The firm's goal is to raise enough capital to begin manufacturing the device in large quantities by May of this year. To accomplish this goal, Extrasensory Devices opted to use the popular 'crowd-funding' website Kickstarter. The device's campaign begins on February 21st, 2013.

Based in Palo Alto, California, Extrasensory Devices produces a range of iOS devices that address needs previously ignored by the overall marketplace. The Rockit, Wiretap and Toaster audio splitters have impressed with their versatility while the Backbeater drum tempo system helps professional percussionists and aspiring rock stars master their ware. Now, Luxi light meter for iPhone will make every photographer's bag lighter, more organized, and help capture their most stunning photographs.
