The sit-down luncheon and inspiring fashion show will be held Sunday, October 13, 2013 at the Anaheim Marriott, 700 Convention Way in Anaheim, starting at 10:00 am. A champagne welcome reception and silent auction will greet the guests followed by a 3-course sit down luncheon. California butter lettuce salad with fresh oranges, avocado, toasted almonds and dressing, Panko crusted chicken with garlic butter spinach, penne in cream sauce, and rainbow carrots are on the menu. Dessert is a butter pecan trifle topped with fresh whipped cream and toffee crunchies.
The designer fashion show features cancer survivors or current cancer patients modeling the latest fall fashions from Betinnis Fashions of Brea. These models have either been treated or are currently being treated at St. Jude Medical Center. On the runway, they will be wearing styles reflecting casual, fun and flirty to sleek, elegant and effervescent. Chadia Almeddin, Owner of Betinnis said, "I have personally met with all of the models and I applaud their perseverance and positive attitude, they are going to look stunning on the runway!"
Along with the fantastic food and fashion show are opportunity drawings and grand prizes. Some of the items are a 5-night stay in Hawaii (donated by CTA Travel-CST# 2018799-40), a $500 gift card to Betinnis Fashions of Brea, Coach purse, $500 cash, Nordstrom gift cards and fun mystery bags worth $25-$250. A wine wall with a chance to win a bottle of wine worth up to $500 will be available as part of the excitement for the event. Plus each participant will receive a swag bag with a $50 gift certificate to Betinnis, gift certificates to local restaurants, See's candy, and other delicious goodies.
