SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA, January 02, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rain Urbana is the leading lifestyle boutique in the Shops at Heavenly Village, South Lake Tahoe Ca., and has been in business over six years. Primary clients consist of travelers from all over our 50 States, Europe, and Mexico. In 2006 Rain Urbana opened its online boutique creating new exposure to their brick-n-mortar store.

During the past six years RainUrbana has opened their hearts and hands to give to those charitable organizations that align themselves with the owner's beliefs. During the Katrina Hurricane tragedy RainUrbana donated $10,000 worth of brand new clothing to those left homeless and without shelter. "We had 10 or so huge boxes packed full of clothes. We tried to have UPS or FedEx send it for us, but they were not able to so we also had paid for the freight and had it delivered into the heart of the tragedy to one of the temporary donation centers which at the time was a Wal-Mart I believe," says Darcy Rodriguez, co -owner of RainUrbana. "We are a family owned and operated business so it is important for us to reach out to other families in need."
Francisco and Darcy Rodriguez believe that being able to give back to those less fortunate is not only a gift to others but a responsibility of their own. "Charities we tend to support are children, animal and family related. We are very involved with the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging (CFCA), the SPCA, Toys for Tots and local charities such as Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), the Tahoe Woman's Center and Barton Memorial Hospital. We also help out local families that are dealing with tragedies of their own such as a illness. We aid with donations to help them pay their medical bills for surgeries or what not," says Rodriguez.

In all, Rain Urbana and RainUrbana.com has donated over $100,000 to the mentioned charities in the form of cash, gift baskets or gift certificates for auctions.

A previous press release was issued on December 2008, misquoting an award issued to Rain Urbana for Best of Lake Tahoe shopping by BlueLakeTahoe.com. this is not the case the award actually came from The Tahoe Daily Tribune.

The owners at RainUrbana.com regret any inconvenience due to this erroneous statement.
