Scott Chase, Director of Planning for the City of Havelock, has accepted the position of Director of Planning for The Wooten Company, effective October 18, 2012. Mr. Chase has 14 years combined county, municipal, and private sector planning experience. His planning experience includes Wayne and Pender counties, the City of Goldsboro, and the cities of Carolina Beach and Havelock, North Carolina. Mr. Chase was previous owner and manager of SCSC Group, which specialized in land use design, permitting, and general zoning consultation. He is AICP-certified by the American Planning Association. In his new role with Wooten, Scott will direct community planning, community/economic development, and geographic information systems (GIS) for the Company. Scott assumes the position previously held by Patt Crissman, who continues to be a key project manager for the planning department.
