WEST DES MOINES, IA, August 31, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In honor of the thousands of U.S. troops currently overseas, independent hip-hop/rap artist Tripp Marxx presents a heart-wrenching story of soldier and his daughter in his latest song titled "When You Come Home". The song sheds light on the lives of soldiers and their families, and provides an uplifting message, giving families hope that their loved ones will return safe and sound.

"I think a lot of soldiers that serve our country are underappreciated. I really wanted to do this as a way to say thank you for everything they've done," Marxx said. "I want to give the troops and their families hope in hard times like this."

Recently, Marxx created a video to accompany the song (composed of various photos of soldiers and their families) and uploaded it to the largest video sharing site on the net - YouTube (view the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HDi90FLs_oc). The video is quickly rising in views and has been widely shared across various sites on the Internet, making the biggest indent within the Facebook community.

As the popularity of the song/video started to take off, Marxx saw an opportunity to give back even more. He has placed the track for purchase on iTunes and teamed up with the non-profit group, Soliders Angels. 30% of all proceeds earned from sales of the song will be donated.

"There's nothing more satisfying and humbling than to know how many people have been touched by this song. It goes to show you how powerful music really is," Marxx said.

You can purchase "When You Come Home" by Tripp Marxx on iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody or Napster. And don't forget - you're helping out a soldier and their family with each purchase.

Tripp Marxx is an independent hip-hop/rap artist from Des Moines, IA. To book Tripp for interviews, appearances or events, please contact Bryan at info@trippmarxx.com or (515) 402-8394.
