/Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Rebekah Ross, Nursing Supervisor at Tendercare Alpena, has been recognized by
Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of nursing.
As a nursing supervisor at Tendercare Alpena, Ms. Ross specializes in gerontology and is responsible for caring for patients, administering medications, initiating and infusing intravenous therapy, assessing patient status and notifying physicians of clinical changes performed and complete patient admissions and discharges, assisting in the orientation of new employees, educating families and patients in health care concerns and needs, and supervising a staff of certified nursing assistants. Both her grandmother and mother were nurses, and when her mother had cancer, Ms. Ross was involved in her mother's care and found her calling to be in nursing. She attributes her success to genuinely caring about her patients.
Ms. Ross is pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Spring Arbor University and received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Alpena Community College in 2005. She became a registered nurse through Alpena Community College in 2005. She intends to take a year off after completing her bachelor of science in nursing and eventually return to pursue her master of science in nursing and become a nurse practitioner.
