/Worldwide Who's Who/ -- Jimmy D. Davis, Chaplain of Mississippi State Hospital, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in spiritual services.
Davis counsels individuals from all walks of life as counselors, physicians and behavioral health specialists attempt to improve their quality of life. From patients being treated for various psychological issues and adults dealing with chemical dependency to staff members who may be having an especially stressful workday, he is available to meet in individual sessions and provide spiritual guidance. Outside of the hospital setting, Davis also extends himself in service to Crossgates Baptist Church and anywhere else he may be called upon to fulfill his divine calling.
Having begun his career with Mississippi State Hospital as a social worker, he is grateful to have progressed to his current position through hard work and his unshakeable faith. Both his experience and the technical knowledge he gained while earning a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary have brought to him a sense of completion as he moves toward the latter part of his working years. An elected officer of the Mississippi Baptist Chaplains Association, Davis is part of a network of chaplains dedicated to improving pastoral care and education.
