With more than 43 years of professional experience, Mr. Fischer specializes in using hides, skins and other manmade materials to reproduce life-like three-dimensional representations of animals and fish for permanent display. Originally his father's business, Reflections Taxidermy is where Richard obtained all of his experience—and he ultimately took over the operations. The highlights of his career were recreating black bears from North Eastland, African leopards and lions, and Kodiak bears from Alaska that weigh up to 1,000 pounds. Mr. Fischer is also very proficient in reproducing birds and ducks. Hard work, dedication and attention to detail are the driving forces behind his success. Mr. Fischer is a licensed taxidermist in the state of Pennsylvania and is a member of the National Taxidermists Association.
