/Worldwide Who's Who/ -- Richard Veneau, the Director of General Administration for Council of Europe Bank, the financial arm of the Council of Europe and the oldest international financial institution on the continent, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in financial administration.
The Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) is a multilateral development bank that was established in order to bring solutions to the problems of refugees. Its scope of action has progressively widened to other sectors of action directly contributing to strengthening social cohesion in Europe. The CEB contributes to the implementation of socially oriented investment projects through three sectoral lines of action, namely strengthening social integration, managing the environment and supporting public infrastructure with a social vocation. The CEB bases its activity on its own funds and receives no aid or subsidy from its member states. With a reputation for excellence, the bank raises its funds in the international capital markets on the best possible terms, which enables its borrowers to significantly reduce the cost of their resources for financing social projects.
Mr. Veneau has amassed almost two decades of experience working in the banking sector. In his current position as the director of general administration for CEB, Mr. Veneau is responsible for managing the human resources department of the company as well as keeping track of budgeting needs and related security and logistical details. He oversees the lending of money to borrowers for social projects in Central and Eastern European countries and utilizes his skills in conducting international negotiations to develop creative solutions for diplomatic and social issues.
In 1996, Mr. Veneau began his career working for a French bank as the head of the private office of the governor. Since then, his communication skills and commitment to social development have led him to succeed as a leader in his field. Mr. Veneau's educational background includes a Ph.D. in international fiscal law from Jean Monnet University and a master's degree in political science from the Institution of Political Studies in Paris. In the future, Mr. Veneau hopes to lend his expertise working for an international institution in the United States or Australia. Away from the demands of his work, Mr. Veneau enjoys writing plays for a theater in Paris, and he is currently writing a book about concerns in the Mediterranean.
