About the Avenger:
The Avenger offers a choice of three engine levels: a 2.4-liter, Inline-4, 173 hp; 2.7-liter, V-6, 189 hp and a 3.5-liter, V-6, 235 hp. The vehicle comes with four-speed automatic and six-speed multi-speed automatic transmissions.
This model has been redone for 2008. Brought in as replacement for the Stratus, which Dodge phased out, the 2008 Avenger is available in three trims -SE, SXT and R/T. These three trims come with wheelbases that vary between 16 and 18 inches. Also notable on the exterior are distinguishing features between the trims -the SE has a black grille, while the SXT and R/T come with chrome grills.
