LOS ANGLES, CA, February 21, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- RISE Arts Collective is pleased to announce the addition of three artists to "RISE: Love. Revolution. The Black Panther Party"; Lekit, Nancy Buchanan and Susu Attar. Forty-two incredible artists are now in the ground breaking group exhibit. The show opens February 21, 2014 and runs through March 21, 2014 at Art Share L.A.
The exhibit has also received a commendation from Pamela Bright-Moon Commissioner, L.A. County Arts Commission, 2nd District, "It gives me great pleasure to support RISE Arts Collective in their exhibit of "RISE: Love. Revolution. The Black Panther Party." It's a rare opportunity when Artists through their unique methods of expression, and icons of the Black Power Movement, collaborate to create what will be an amazing show, documenting the global influence, love and power of the Black Panther Party. RISE Arts Collective and its curators, are to be commended for seeing the significance of this collaboration and bringing it to fruition with support of contributors and partnership with Art Share L.A."
The multiple city tour will feature mainly local artists from that region. The five confirmed cities are: Los Angeles, Oakland, New York, Chicago and London. Proceeds from each exhibit will benefit The New York Black Panther Commemoration Committee.
