Ronald A. Tomo has worked with wireless technologies for more than three decades.
    /Worldwide Who's Who/ -- NORTH BELLMORE, NY, November 25, 2012, Ronald A. Tomo, Chief Information Officer of the Nassau Health Care Corporation for the Nassau University Medical Center, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in health care administration.

Mr. Tomo has been a hand radio operator since the age of 14, and has studied electronics and wireless technologies for more than 30 years. For the past four years, he has served as the chief information officer for the Nassau Health Care Corporation of the Nassau University Medical Center. He attributes his success to his patient-centered approach to health care.

The recipient of a bachelor's degree in management from Long Island University, Mr. Tomo graduated from the same institution with a master's degree in public administration, with a concentration in hospital administration. Proficient in leadership and problem resolution, he is entrusted with organizing computer systems for a 580-bed hospital and a 580-bed nursing home, including the entire emergency system, voice data, pagers and cellulars.

Mr. Tomo holds several systems and programming design certifications from New York University and earned a certification in integrated delivery systems from Harvard University. He is the Division Chief in Charge of Retention for the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary and is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. He also volunteers with the Emergency Disaster Services Program of The Salvation Army, and as a volunteer communications specialist for the Military Affiliate Radio System Program of the United States Army. As the years progress, he hopes to continue working in the same position.
