With 26 years of experience in her field, Ms. deVigne-Jackiewicz is an expert in consulting on breastfeeding issues for mothers and babies. In her roles at Happy, Healthy Moms & Babies and Kaiser Permanente, she is responsible for instructing new breastfeeding mothers, evaluating mothers and babies and ensuring they get off to a good start with breastfeeding, and delivering referral resources to mothers and babies. An experienced lactation specialist, Ms. deVigne-Jackiewicz also serves as a registered nurse, lactation consultant, clinical instructor and mentor for the lactation educator and consultant training programs at the University of California, San Diego. She is the author of the book "Happy, Healthy Moms and Babies Breastfeeding Basics: What Every New Mother Needs to Know." She attributes her success to her passion for helping mothers and babies.

Ms. deVigne-Jackiewicz received her Master of Public Health from Loma Linda University, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Walla Walla University and her Certification from the International Board Certified Lactation Consultants. A member of the International Lactation Consultant Association, she was named Outpatient Nurse of the Year by Kaiser Permanente in 2008 and Nurse of the Year by Sharp Memorial Hospital in 1996. She is also a 1995 recipient of the Spirit of Caring Award from Sharp Memorial Hospital. Ms. deVigne-Jackiewicz hopes to write and publish more books, continue growing in her profession as a lactation consultant and work one-on-one with mothers and babies.
