CLINTON, MD, October 29, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rosemarie A. Cuento, Nurse, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing.

Ms. Cuento's expertise lies in caring for hypertensive patients. In the field of healthcare for the last five years, she lent her talents to the Washington DC VA Medical Center. She worked as a research coordinator specializing in hypertension and diabetes trials, such as the ACCORD (Action to Control Cardio-Vascular Risk in Diabetes) trial and the Rheos study which involved the Rheos implantable device for treating patients with drug-resistant hypertension. She also coordinated research activities for the Veterans Aging Cohort Study. Mrs. Cuento has also honed her skills as a dialysis nurse and as a medical-surgical nurse. She attributes her success to her eagerness to learn and the inspiration received from her mother, who is also a nurse.

In addition to being a Registered Nurse, Ms. Cuento obtained a Master of Science in Nursing in 2008 from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau.
