/24-7PressRelease/ -- Sally & Fitch LLP announced today a $18,250,000 settlement for its client Kington Holdings Limited ("Kington") in proceedings before the International Centre for Dispute Resolution.
Kington is a corporation based in Hong Kong that was the exclusive licensee of certain technology, products and services in The People's Republic of China, under an agreement with the licensor, LoJack Equipment Ireland, Ltd. The licensor terminated the technology license, patent trademark and supply agreement, and then initiated arbitration proceedings against the licensee for breach of contract. Sally & Fitch LLP represented Kington, as licensee, and asserted counterclaims on its behalf for wrongful termination of the agreement. The case was brought in the International Centre for Dispute Resolution.
The settlement required the immediate payment of $18,250,000 to Kington and other terms as set forth in public filings of LoJack Corporation with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
