Prior to her current role, she was a research analyst for the Ann Arbor subsidiaries and then moved into a financial analyst role. Here, she analyzed financials for a new business opportunity. She was responsible for analyzing data and building financial models. Since taking on her current position at DTE Energy Resources, Mrs. Olson is cultivating an expertise in analyzing quantitative metrics for DTE subsidiaries. As a business analyst, she is responsible for analyzing the businesses and their metrics and recommending action plans to senior management. DTE Energy Resources is an energy firm that provides electricity and natural gas distribution services.

Mrs. Olson received her Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Mathematics from the University of Michigan in 2005. She is a member of the Henderson House Board of Directors and is a high school synchronized swimming coach. She is pursuing her MBA. She attributes her success to her education, family support and knowledge of managerial skills. She became involved in her profession because of the educational challenges it presented to her and continues to present each and everyday.
