/24-7PressRelease/ -- Scancapture's founder and Managing Director Steve Smith has been chosen as an employee engagement 'guru' for the government initiative 'Engage For Success'.
Engage for Success is a movement set up by Prime Minister David Cameron in November 2012, committed to the idea that there is a better way to work, enable personal growth, organisational growth and ultimately growth for Britain by releasing more of the capability and potential of people at work.
Scancapture will host the first Employee Engagement Seminar in Lancashire over the next few months which will be free for HR practitioners. In addition to providing a useful source of information, the seminar will be instrumental in providing opportunities for business owners and employees to network with like-minded practitioners. It is hoped that these seminars will allow participants to share ideas, case studies and advice concerning good practices around the region.
The seminar represents an opportunity for local workers to get involved in building a regional engagement network for the Lancashire area.
Steve Smith's company, Scancapture, will be providing evidence, case studies and points of view collated from real survey data to illustrate how employee engagement drives performance and productivity to achieve growth. It is hoped that this comprehensive research will outline comprise the practical tools and ideas attendees will require to take action in the workplace.
The movement is widely supported across the UK, involving the public, private and third sectors in the belief they can learn from each other. Organisations which support the movement currently account for more than 2,000,000 people.
A paper has been published this month that highlights the evidence for the effectiveness of _a href="http://www.scancapture.co.uk/staff-surveys/"employee engagement_/a_ strategies in improving business performance. This evidence comes from academic research and from research using data compiled by research houses, in addition to case studies compiled by many leading companies and organisations.
The cumulative effect of these different studies forms a compelling argument about the statistical importance of engaging employees, which the Engage for Success movement hope to capitalise on. The Employee Engagement Seminar hopes to highlight the positive effect that employee engagement has on performance.
As well as performance and productivity, the seminar also plans to address issues of absenteeism, retention, innovation, customer service, positive outcomes in public services and staff advocacy of their organisations.
