NEW YORK, NY, October 8, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Scott Benedict, Information Systems Manager for Disney Theatrical Group of The Walt Disney Studios, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of information technology.

With 23 years of professional experience, Mr. Benedict excels in network architecture, information systems and production management. He supports the creative development and general management from concept to completion of first-class live stage shows for Broadway, domestic tours and international productions, managing Disney's New Amsterdam Theatre, worldwide theatrical merchandise retail operations, and intellectual property licensing for domestic and international live stage shows. He is also responsible for overseeing information systems and business application development, emerging technology, strategic planning, analyzing business, managing interactive media, ticketing services, information and network architecture, end user support and information security. Mr. Benedict takes pride in his technical role in the live shows on Broadway and the New Amsterdam Theater of Disney.

Prior to joining Disney, Mr. Benedict served as a senior manager for Sotheby's Holdings, Inc. and as a solutions consultant at IBM. In addition to his career with Disney, he has also performed stage shows for Blue Hill Troupe, Ltd. His passion for theater arts prompted him to become involved in his profession, and he considers his persistence, hard work, intelligence and creativity to be the driving forces behind his success.

Mr. Benedict received his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bucknell University. He is a co-founder of the Sundog Theatre in Staten Island and a member of the American Management Association. He aspires to become more involved in the production aspect of the company, spend more time pursuing a career in theater and film, and promote green technology.
