Sherry Lynn Bell began her career as an entrepreneur when she opened Tinker's Cottage in 1991. In her shop, Ms. Bell offered classes in painting and sold supplies, gifts, and painted crafts. Proficient in painting and writing, she successfully published two books, designed pattern packets, and was featured in several magazines. With a penchant for teaching and public speaking, Ms. Bell began training at regional and national conventions, as well as various craft shows.
Currently, Ms. Bell serves as president of Sherry Lynn Designs, a decorative art and design company. Through the business, she offers custom-made, hand-painted clocks, mirrors, trays, chests, baskets, plates, and other decorative items. Certified as a professional demonstrator for crafts and as a craft designer, Ms. Bell freelances in decorative art and design and travels across the country to teacher her craft. In addition, Ms. Bell also owns Bell Worldwide, Incorporated, a web company which caters to a national client demographic. In her position with the company, she manages all aspects of business operations, maintains the website, and handles processing and shipping. In the coming years, Ms. Bell intends to continue working, raising awareness about decorative painting methods, and sharing her knowledge through networking and consulting.
