/24-7PressRelease/ -- Shimco announced today their participation at HELI-EXPO taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada from March 5-7, 2013. In booth N6408, the company will showcase samples of its polyimide-based shims in addition to some of its extensive range of custom manufactured products of solid, laminated, edgebond, and tapered shims, laminated sheets and precision machined parts.
HELI-EXPO is where the world of vertical aviation connects. More than 20,000 helicopter industry professionals will be attending the world's largest helicopter exposition and trade show. HELI-EXPO is produced by the Helicopter Association International (HAI), of which Shimco has been a member for many years.
Designed with polyimide film material produced by DuPont and Kaneka, the Shimco polyimide-based shims are laminated on-site at the company's manufacturing facility in Canada. Polyimide films have a unique combination of electrical, thermal, chemical and mechanical properties that withstand extreme temperature, vibration and other demanding environments, but also provide a weight-saving advantage over similar metallic products.
