/Cambridge Who's Who/ -- Shirley M. Boothe, LCSW-IPR, Resident Life Director at Eagle's Trace of Erickson Retirement Communities, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of social work.
As the Resident Life Director at Eagle's Trace of Erickson Retirement Communities, Ms. Boothe is responsible for managing the social work department, administering 84 clubs, managing administrative functions of home support services for residents and their families, supervising the on-site television station KETH, pastoral ministries, the wellness center, and overseeing philanthropy. An expert in risk management and ethics, she was the first social worker hired in Texas as on-site risk manager at Mariner Health Care. Ms. Boothe has received independent practice recognition and is licensed to teach and train social workers to practice privately. The author of an article entitled "Social Work Ethics in the Long-Term Care Setting," she volunteers her time helping victims of Hurricane Ike and enjoys working with the geriatric population. She attributes her success to her exposure to great mentors.
Ms. Boothe received her Master of Social Work from the University of Houston in 1992, her Bachelor of Social Work, minor in Sociology, summa cum laude from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1990 and her Associate of Science from Angelina College in 1988. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, an approved provider for CEUs through the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners.
