    PAWTUCKET, RI, September 22, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On Sunday, September 27, the Silver City Treasure Seekers (SCTS) will host the 1st Annual New England Treasure Show (NETS), at the Bristol-Plymouth Technical High School, 940 County Street, in Taunton, Massachusetts (MA), from 10 AM - 4 PM.

Club members will be displaying thousands of found coins, vintage and antique bottles, relics, Native American artifacts, gold and silver jewelry; and, myriad other items of interest and curiosity found in and around the New England area.

Top-name metal detecting dealers and vendors, including J & B Coins, Detector Electronics, Henderson Metal Detectors, Mystical Mountain and White's Electronics, will be available to educate, inform and advise about best detecting hardware and treasure-seeking equipment.

Workshops will be held about metal detecting and bottle collecting for all levels - including techniques, identification, classification and rules of conduct. Workshops are:

_ Basic Water Detecting: Where do I go and what do I need? - Joe Baker & Bill Henderson
_ Bottles 101: Bottle collecting for all levels - Al Otis
_ Pinpointing: What is a pinpointer and how does it work? - Joe Baker
_ White's new Vision 3 Metal Detector: Introducing tomorrow's detector today - Mike White

A free Identification Table will be set up to help attendees find out about their vintage/antique bottles, coins and/or relics, to learn more about their history and potential value.

Food, raffles and door prizes will be available throughout the Show. A free metal detector will be given away before the end of the day.

Admission: ADULTS - $4.00 / SENIORS - $2.00 / CHILDREN 12 & UNDER - FREE

About Silver City Treasure Seekers (SCTS) - Founded in 2001 by Bill Henderson and assisted by his wife Stephanie Henderson, Silver City Treasure Seekers meet the first Friday of every month (excluding July & August) at the Bristol-Plymouth Technical High School, in Taunton, MA. The mission of SCTS is to learn about, support, explore and preserve the history and diverse treasures to be found in and around New England.
