Seagate Technology will become SmarrCopy's major hard drive provider in the SmarrCopy CD/DVD Duplicator line introduced by Utronics.
SmarrCopy is a revolutionary new CD/DVD Duplicator that enables businesses and individuals to produce multiple, high quality media copies on a flexible platform with amazingly fast speed and low cost. Utronics introduced the SmarrCopy line earlier this year with a new technology that significantly upgrades speed, ease of use, and reliability over the entire CD/DVD Duplicator product line. Barracuda 7200.10 is the first 3.5-inch desktop drive to use perpendicular recording (PMR) technology, delivering new levels of hard drive data density, reliability and performance and capacities of up to 750GB. PMR increases drive throughput without increasing spin speed by allowing more data bits to pass under the drive head in the same amount of time. The SmarrCopy CD/DVD duplicator will be offered with 80GB, 160GB 250GB and 500G Barracuda 7200.10 hard drives.
