Both are capable of switching high-resolution DVI-D video output from 16 computers located up to 30 feet away from a central console. The DVN-16P has the added bonus of stereo audio and fully transparent USB 2.0. The switching functions of both units can be controlled via the front panel, or remotely via RS-232, Infrared, USB, or TCP-IP.
Both of the units support resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 including HDTV 1080p/60. They also offer simple management of several different types of displays using advanced EDID detection. EDID allows individual displays to have their own management profile, ensuring that video is displayed at the optimal resolution.
The DVN-16P comes with the complete package of DVI-D, stereo audio and fully transparent USB 2.0. Through the use of transparent USB 2.0 users are able to use ANY USB 2.0 device from the console. This means a user can share a flash memory drive, video camera or other USB device between 16 computers from a central console, eliminating the need to access the individual computers locally.
