Sol'Jibe are poised to be around for years to come as they have slowly and steadily built a large legion of devoted followers through constant touring, conducting music clinics at scores of high schools and colleges, and successfully migrating the world of new technology now facing the future of the music business.
The band blends their diverse music backgrounds of American Roots with World Beat, and Latin grooves to create a unique sound that has been dubbed, "World Pop". Sol'Jibe has travelled to Spain, Cuba, and throughout Central America where they have studied folkloric rhythms and culture.
For the last 4 years Sol'Jibe has become a crowd favorite to festival audiences from the Rocky Mountains to the West Coast as fans have embraced singer/guitarist/violinist Tim Snider's passion for combining musical landscapes and cultures. The band plays over 200 shows a year and has sold over 30,000 CD's on their own.
Over the last 6 months, Sol'Jibe have joined forces with record company, Major Hana Records, manager, Jonathan Block, and a national booking agency, In The Pocket Artists, now booking dates for the band throughout North America. Major Hana Records, also home to some of Hawaii's best artists, as well as Funk music legend, and James Brown songwriter/producer/band leader/trombonist, Fred Wesley, will release Sol'Jibe's new record "Raices Nuevas" as an album only download at MajorHana.com, on June 12, 2009. Jonathan Block's, Major Music is a management and internet company most known for breaking cutting edge artists like G. Love & Special Sauce, and European sensation, Fun Lovin' Criminals. Sol'Jibe will perform at The Grand Sierra Ballroom and release 2000 copies of their new CD, "Raices Nuevas", to the Reno/Tahoe market on June 12, 2009. Following the June 12 release date, "Raices Nuevas" will be available on CD at Sol'Jibe shows, and as an album only download at MajorHana.com.
To support "Raices Nuevas", Sol'Jibe will be taking their live show throughout the US and around the Globe as they continue to push the boundaries of independent music and fusion.
Major Hana Records will be working Sol'Jibe's first single "Truth", at Triple A radio throughout the summer. Major Hana Records recently found success at the Triple A radio format with the release of first single, "Psycho Path", from Fred Wesley & The New JB's, "Let It Flow - Fred Wesley's Tribute To James Brown". "Psycho Path" is written and performed by Wesley and Public Enemy's, Chuck D, and will be showing up at Rock, Alternative, and Urban stations this summer.
