MIAMI, FL, January 01, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- DJ Nasty of South Florida's #1 radio station for hip hop and RnB, WEDR 99 Jamz, in association, Bluehouse Consulting, and Stars of Tomorrow Foundation brought the true spirit of giving to deserving Miami-Dade and Broward country elementary school students this past November and December with his Oh Oh Oh Holiday Essay Contest and School Takeover parties.

This two part event was created as a way to reinforce the importance of giving this holiday season. In today's society many children are far more concerned with getting all of the items on their Christmas list than thinking about people who are less fortunate than they are.

"We started with an essay contest that was open to all Miami-Dade and Broward county elementary school and ended with taking over three schools," says DJ Nasty. "We took the top three most well-written essays and awarded the student with $100, a pizza and cupcake party for their class, and a school takeover party with music, face-painting, games, Santa, and many other surprises."

The Oh Oh Oh Holiday Essay contest ran from Monday, November 11 to Friday, December 6, 2013. The two questions that students had to answer are (1) What are you thankful for this holiday season and why and (2) if you had special powers and could do anything special for someone anywhere in the world, what would you do, who would you do it for, and who would you do it?

Event participants include Recording Artist B Smyth, Steven Da Guy, and Defyne Entertainment Music Group.
