COLUMBUS, OH, February 09, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Spot Athletics - one of Ohio's premier personal training facilities - has hired Upper Arlington's Lily Starobin as the newest strength and conditioning coach. Lily changed her life by moving all the way from Los Angeles to Upper Arlington and becoming a member of the staff at The Spot Athletics. She will be working with individual athletes and teams along with clients in the personal training department. Previously, Lily was a trainer private gyms in the Los Angeles area as well as running her own personal training business.

JL Holdsworth, owner and head trainer at The Spot Athletics, states that "Lily's passion for learning, competitive spirit and love of strength and conditioning made her an ideal fit for our staff. Anyone with a t-shirt that says 'trainer' can train at a box gym but trainers at our facility need to be world class and Lily is definitely that."

Lily is a graduate of the George Washington University and holds a certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is also a competitive powerlifter in the 114 and 123 pound weight classes. As a competitive powerlifter, Starobin set the U.S. Powerlifting Association California state record in the Bench Press.

The Spot Athletics, located inside the Ultimate Sports Center, is one of the leading training facilities in the country. It is owned by world renowned strength coach JL Holdsworth who is a former University of Kentucky strength coach and former powerlifting world record holder. In the three years since it opened its doors, The Spot Athletics has produced Division I Volleyball and Track state championship teams, several world champion Jiu Jitsu fighters, a U.S. World Team freestyle wrestler, the most recent female winner of the Columbus Marathon, and more Division I athletes than any training facility in Ohio.

The Spot Athletics provides personal training and group training classes for adults along with speed, strength, and conditioning training for athletes starting at 7 years of age. Their dedication and understanding of long term athletic development for young athletes has created some of the best 10-12 year old athletes in the state in their respective sports. However, all of the clients at The Spot are trained like athletes because everyone should be strong, move well and feel great. Whether the expert staff is training someone for the Olympics or to get in shape for a wedding, the concept of training as an athlete empowers clients to do more than they ever thought possible. This is what makes The Spot Athletics not merely another gym but a training facility that gets amazing results. For more information visit
