-- Steven C. Megel, Chief Operating Officer for Foodmix Marketing Communications, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.
Mr. Megel became involved in his profession after starting his career in accounting at KPMG Peat Marwick. He made the transition to the advertising industry after extensive experience involving work with advertising agencies. Moving from a career in auditing to advertising was most rewarding allowing him to see the results of his company's work in broadcast, print and online. His passion for advertising is surpassed only by the enjoyment he has experienced in working with the industry's professionals including clients and staff.
The highlight of his career began in 2006 when he joined his partner, Dan O'Connell, at Foodmix Marketing Communications. Since that time, their agency has grown from 12 individuals to more than 35 in 2012, weathering the worst recession since the Great Depression. In a time when many businesses failed, they have successfully provided a stable environment for their employees and families, as well as consistently grown revenues in excess of 10% per year. Contrary to public agencies that are focused on quarterly profits, the success of their agency is based upon the premise that if they help their clients succeed, they will also grow as a result.
Mr. Megel received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Creighton University. He is a certified public accountant, a member of the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. In 2012, Mr. Megal was named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who.
