Sukey Susannah Waller Named Entrepreneur of the Year in Body Psychotherapy

    Bend, OR, December 15, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ --Sukey Susannah Waller, Ph.D., Body Psychotherapist in private practice, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Entrepreneur of the Year in Body Psychotherapy. While inclusion in Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only two male and two female members in each discipline are named the Cambridge Who's Who Entrepreneur of the Year. The Cambridge Who's Who selection committee chooses these special honorees based on their accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership, and service.

Dr. Waller has more than 22 years of professional experience and excels in brainwave synchronization, vibration therapy and counseling peak-performance athletes and patients with post-traumatic stress syndrome. She is responsible for writing grants and overseeing fund development. Dr. Waller previously worked at educational centers and preschools in Oregon for multicultural groups and was responsible for three capital campaigns for children's program. She considers funding for homeless youth, underprivileged children and early childhood programs to be the most fulfilling aspects of her career. She was featured in a book called 'The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down.'

Dr. Waller received her Ph.D. in Psychology from Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center in 1988, her Master of Arts in Somatic Psychology from Antioch University in 1984, her Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from the University of Evansville in 1966 and completed coursework in leadership, grant writing and program development. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, the National Center for Crisis Management, and a member of the Association for Humanistic Psychology and the United States Association for Body Psychotherapy. Dr. Waller received the Parker Award for the Design of Research in 1986. She volunteers for the Sisters Organization for Activities and Recreation and the Healing Reins therapeutic riding program.
