In 1963, Mr. Brown began his professional career with the United States Army. During his nearly 20 year career as a military aviator, he achieved numerous awards and recognitions. He was a 23-time recipient of the Air Medal, three-time recipient of Bronze Star Medal, and two-time recipient of Distinguished Flying Cross. After serving in active duty during the Vietnam War, Mr. Brown also earned a Master Aviator Badge, the Meritorious Service Medal, and a Purple Heart distinction. In 1962, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in vocational education, with a minor in psychology, and became the first child in his family to achieve a college degree. Then in 1978, he went on to complete a master's degree in criminal justice. Upon completion of his service with the military, Mr. Brown embarked on a career in education when he became a high school history and leadership teacher in 1984.
After retiring from the education industry, Mr. Brown joined Shaklee Corporation in 2004. The health and nutrition company provides nutritional, skin, beauty and anti-aging solutions, as well as weight loss, gluten-free, and non-toxic homecare products. Dedicated to bringing quality products to his valued customers, Mr. Brown serves as a global ambassador for the corporation. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, traveling, and bowling. He has been married to his wife since Nov. 15, 1964. They have two sons, Sullivan Brown Jr, and Bruce W. Brown, three granddaughters and one grandson.
