TechTurn loaded the inaugural Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher Server operating system license in Austin Texas. TechTurn is proud to be the first refurbisher to install the official Microsoft Server operating system worldwide.
Lori Aulds, Regional Sales Manager, and Michael Warren, Account Manager, both from Microsoft were on site for the event of placing the inaugural certificate of authenticity on a TechTurn rebuilt server. "TechTurn is extremely proud to be the first worldwide partner to launch Microsoft's new MAR Offering, Windows Server 2003R2 for Refurbished Servers. The Server licensing capability allows us to offer a whole new set of solutions that are extremely appealing to our customers. Our custom configured, Rebuilt servers preinstalled with Windows Server 2003 R2 for Refurbished Servers provides our customers a good-as-new server for about one third the cost of new. As a MAR partner for PCs and Servers, we can offer a "Small Business In A Box" bundle, and believe that the demand from small businesses, schools and enterprise customers will be extremely strong," said Jeff Zeigler, CEO of TechTurn. "TechTurn has been a pivotal partner to Microsoft in the refurbisher business. They were instrumental in helping Microsoft bring Windows XP for Refurbished PCs to market, and were the first MAR to offer it for sale. On December 6, 2007, TechTurn installed the Word's First Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher Operating system. The program from Microsoft allows select refurbishers, such as TechTurn, to re-load genuine Microsoft operating systems on refurbished computers. Furthermore, Microsoft provides a year of technical support with each Operating System.
