SARASOTA, FL, December 06, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sometimes all a self-published ebook needs to spark a wave of interest and sales among the fiction-reading public is to receive a 5 star review and critical accolades.

At least, that's what Carl Proujan is counting on. In the wake of a handful of positive 4-star reviews, in-depth author interviews and his first 5 star book review for The Madness Analog (A Matt David Thriller), the author hopes for a groundswell as readers learn about, and then are compelled by, the realism of the tale.

"First of all, the settings are real. I have actually visited almost all of the places described in the book. I drew upon my personal experiences of growing up in New York City, and having traveled through Paris, Madrid, the Pyrenees Mountains, Washington, D.C., and Israel. This helped tremendously in developing the realistic settings for the novel.

"Next, the book had to be authentic and believable, especially the science. (ed.:Mr. Proujan has a degree in chemistry and biology). I tracked down primary scientific sources to make sure the scientific underpinnings were infallible."

Mr. Proujan, in an interview for the NjKinny's World of Books website, states that although the book's final presentation is a product completely formulated within his imagination, "many of the characters are based on real people. And, although the weapon created in the story is a fictitious one, the fundamental science is very real, as is the danger posed by such a weapon."

The story, which revolves around an intelligent Mossad-slash-FBI counterterrorism agent who is hellbent on linking a series of murders to disparate events unfolding concurrently in the United States and in parts of Europe, adds excitement and innovation to the growing terrorism fiction genre.

Sinister and shadowy forces conspire in some of the world's most conspicuous locales (the Rodin Museum in Paris, the National Mall in Washington DC, the Centro de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid), and yet, their schemes seem to go unnoticed by just about everyone. That is, everyone but Special Agent Matt David.

In his 5-star review for the Readers' Favorite website, Ray Simmons writes: "The protagonist, Matt David, ... is a smart, likable character with a tragic, somewhat mysterious past. We are drawn into his world and thoughts as he discovers a totally new type of terrorist plot - a terrorist plot so brilliantly conceived, and so cunningly carried out that America won't even know it has been attacked until it's too late."

Reviews for the gripping nail-biter have started accumulating. From websites such as Reader to Reader and Amazon.com (where the ebook can be purchased for under $4), not one review to date has been a negative one. That is a remarkable accomplishment for a first-time novelist who just happens to have been writing non-fiction for the better part of four decades.

In conclusion, Simmons says it all when he calls The Madness Analog "...a masterpiece of the terrorist-thriller genre," noting that "with the right promotion campaign, this book could easily become a bestseller and it is also easy to imagine it could be a blockbuster of a movie. The Madness Analog is that good."

Carl Proujan could not agree more.

"If you enjoy a good mystery, with unexpected twists, a solid scientific foundation ... a potentially deadly romance, and characters with whom you can either empathize or despise, you will find The Madness Analog impossible to put down. I refer to it as "a terror so real, it could be happening now."
