    MESA, AZ, June 26, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Plenty of people won't be taking that Hawaiian vacation this year. For a lot of people, this year's vacation will be a bit different...

2009 vacation plans:
* Road trip to Bakersfield?
* Visit the relatives in Amarillo?
* Pitch a tent in the back yard, and roast marshmallows over the barbecue?

Did the recession eat YOUR vacation? If so, share your frustration with the world, with a colorful "Recession Ate It" t-shirt, coffee mug, mouse pad, or more. Find these brand new, original goodies at www.RecessionAteIt.com.

"Recession Ate It" is the creation of travel company Adventurous Wench. Founder Deanna Keahey said "I've heard from so many people who can't take the vacation they wanted this year. Some had to cancel due to a job loss. Others took a pay cut, are working decreased hours, or see their own business spiraling downward. It's a beastly situation, that's affecting almost all of us."

$1 from every shirt purchased will go to The Children's Health Fund, a charity which helps children who need health care. As millions of parents have lost jobs and their ability to pay for health care, more and more children are left at risk. Keahey says "Many of us have had to cut back in this recession, including giving up that vacation. But some people are hurting a lot more than others, including innocent children. I want to help however we can. We're all in this together."

Recession Ate My Vacation products are available at www.RecessionAteIt.com.
