AUSTIN, TX, January 29, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In your youth, it seemed like time passed slowly. It's because you wanted time to speed up. Truthfully, you had a lot to look forward -your sweet 16 (hello, car), 18 (adulthood) and early 20s (college, friends and reinventing yourself). For most people, these were the best years. In due part, you most likely enjoyed looking youthful, and it didn't seem like that time would end. But it does, and sometimes it can take you by surprise.

If you notice signs of aging and want to do something about it, go to Dr. Katherine Farady. She runs a patient-focused practice, emphasizing holistic and integrative treatment, and she also offers dermal fillers and Botox treatment in Austin.

"As you age, your skin cells will start to divide more slowly and your skin's inner layer starts to thin out. The skin will start to lose structure and elasticity, causing wrinkles. And, facial muscle contractions and sun damage will also contribute to signs of aging," explains Dr. Farady.

To treat wrinkles, dermal fillers and Botox are the two most common options that patients request to use. With age, habitual facial contractions make wrinkles more prominent. Most common areas of complaint are the eyebrows, forehead, mouth and crows' feet (eye area).

Botox can diminish wrinkles and creases visible on the face by relaxing the muscles. Roughly 11 million men and women have noted the improved look of moderate to severe wrinkles. This isn't a permanent solution for wrinkles. You should talk to your dermatologist about all available wrinkles treatments.

Another popular wrinkle treatment is dermal fillers. Instead of relaxing the muscles, fillers "fill" in the wrinkles, replacing lost tissue volume. Your natural collagen is what kept your face moisturized and elastic, but with age, collagen support breaks down. After injection, dermal fillers stimulate the production of natural collagen.
